Number of Working and Non Working devices is based on a good-faith effort of MSAD #44 Technology staff to accurately identify the condition of devices based on criteria outlined below. The respective numbers are accurate as of the date of review. The lot will be received “as is.”

Bidding:

Questions can be submitted in writing to Mike Muir at muirm@sad44.org. Responses will be posted to this page.

Bid should include:

  • Name of person or organization making the bid, 

  • Contact information (email, phone, address), 

  • The Lot Number, 

  • The bid (a single dollar amount for the entire lot), 

  • An acknowledgement that the winning bid constitutes a contract to purchase the lot, and

  • Authorizing signature and date.

Bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope.

“Bid for MSAD #44 Lot” and Lot Number should be written on the back of the envelope.

Bids will be received through, and opened on, the “Bids Accepted Through” date listed. 

Bids arriving after the received bids are opened will not be accepted.

Bids on a partial lot will not be accepted.

Bids deviating from these directions may not be accepted.

Conditions of Sale:

  • Lot will be sold to the highest bidder (purchaser).

  • Highest bidder will be contacted within 3 business days after the “Bids Accepted Through” date.

  • Payment should be made out to “Maine School Administration District #44” with a note that it is for “Technology Lot” and the Lot Number.

  • Payment must be received prior to transference of the lot.

  • Purchaser is responsible for pick-up and removal of the entire lot within 30 days of being notified of winning the bid.

Description of “Working” and “Non Working”:

“Working Condition” is defined as Grade A-D. “Non Working Condition” is defined as Grade F.

  • A

    • Like New condition. No blemishes.

  • B

    • Light signs of wear including 1 or 2 minor blemishes on exterior of device. Screen is free of pressure marks. LCD has no white spots.

  • C

    • Normal signs of wear on exterior of device and around ports. Corners may have light dings and screen may have scratching (no deep scratches). LCD will not have noticeable white spots, may have light pressure marks on screen.

  • D

    • Heavy signs of wear including excessively bent corners, scratches/dents on the exterior and possible deep scratches/pressure marks on the screen. LCD may have white spots/dead pixels.

  • F

    • Has a functional defect and/or extreme cosmetic damage. Defective components include: Screen, LCD, Headphone Jack, Ports, Trackpad, Battery, Logic Board, Hard Drive, Camera, Speaker, Keyboards/Missing Keys, Wi-Fi Cable. Condition will vary.
