Available Positions

MSAD #44 is accepting applications for the administrative position of Director of Special Services.

Director of Special Services is responsible for overseeing all district-wide special education services to students, Pre-K to Grade 12 including: special education services, English Language Learners (ELL), 504 plans, McKinney-Vento Homeless Education and other programs as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools for MSAD #44,

Interested individuals need to submit an MSAD #44 Administrator application form (available on MSAD #44 website under Employment), resume, three recent letters of recommendation and copies of transcripts/licenses.

Elementary general music, PreK-Grade 5, along with band, orchestra, and chorus.

Effective with the 2025-26 school year. Interested applicants need to submit an application form (Teacher Application form available above or at www.sad44.org , General Information, Employment), and other supporting documents (resume, copies of transcripts, three letters of recommendation (dated within the last three years), copy of license to the MSAD #44 Superintendent’s Office. All applicants required to have an appropriate Maine DOE Certificate/License. Position will be filled when qualified candidate is identified.

Gifted and Talented Tutor, 15 hours/week. Grades 1-8 at Crescent Park & Woodstock Elementary Schools and at Telstar Middle School. Gifted and Talented Certificate from Maine Department of Education preferred.

MSAD #44 is accepting applications for Van Drivers and Student Monitors to drive vans, ride on vans, regular and substitute. Minimum requirements is an "Approval License" from the Maine Dept of Education. Applicants need to submit an Approval application form to DOE ($15 fee) and register on the DOE Certification web page for a background check which includes fingerprints ($55 fee). License is valid for five (5) years and minimum to work in Maine's public schools. Please submit the NonTeacher application to MSAD #44 with other supporting documents. EOE

Student Monitor positions are available within the Special Education department at district schools in the classrooms (K-12), for after-school assistance and/or for transportation monitors. Appropriate license required from Maine Dept of Education . Submit NonTeacher application form available above or at www.sad44.org , General Information, Employment) and include supporting documents (examples: resume, letters of recommendation, copies of transcripts/licenses). Application should be submitted to the MSAD #44 Superintendent’s Office.

Part-time position working for the Adult & Community Education program. Evenings and weekends may be required.

A CHRC Approval license will be required of the finalist, must obtain through Maine Dept. of Education. Position will be filled when qualified candidate is identified.

Substitute Teacher Application

SAD #44 is accepting applications for all Substitute positions (substitute custodian, substitute food service and substitute school bus driver or van driver). All positions required an "Approval License" from the Maine Dept of Education. Applicants need to submit an Approval application form to DOE ($15 fee) and register on the DOE Certification web page for a background check which includes fingerprints ($55 fee). License is valid for five (5) years and minimum to work in Maine's public schools.

Custodial and Food Service applications should be submitted to the MSAD #44 Superintendent’s Office. Substitutes are needed on a regular basis. Submit Non-Teaching application form (available above or at www.sad44.org , General Information, Employment) EOE
